The latest software update 2.0.0 for Google Assistant is now brought to the existing headsets of Sony, starting with the models WI-1000X and WH-1000XM2. Sony is not just aiming to launch newer headsets with the Assistant but as well is bringing support for its existing products.
At CES 2018, Google already announced the support for its Assistant on every gadget and electronic that there is. This invites companies to add support to their upcoming products, and Sony is not leaving out its existing products from the benefits.
Also, triggering the Assistant on most headphones is now possible with a long tap-and-hold of the call button. The existing headphones are getting things even better with the proper integration of the Assistant called Bisto. One of the added benefits that Bisto puts on the table is making the process of push-to-talk faster.
Thanks to this new integration, the Assistant is now workable in iOS devices, where users get to hear notifications spoken to them on the headset. In order to get it all effective, after the headset’s software gets updated, it is needed to change the noise cancellation/ambient button to trigger the Google Assistant.
Sony promised that three more headsets would get the firmware as well. These are WF-1000X, WH-CH900N, and h.ear on 2 WH-H900N. Stay put into getting more on this.
