Google is officially an adult now and will no longer get away with teenage strops as the company is celebrating its 18th birthday today. But there seems to be some confusion over the internet about the company’s actual birthday. It’s feeling like caviling Google, but everyone has the same question arising in their mind that is it really Google’s birthday?
Today, on 27 September, Google has one of its merry “Google Doodles” on its homepage wishing itself a happy birthday. Previously, Google had a Google Doodle on 27 September, except in 2005, when the company put it up on 26 September. And in 2004, when the search engine giant celebrated its birthday on 7 September, that was contradicted in 2003 when it told the world 8 September was its birthday.
And company’s history itself says that it registered Google.com on 15 September 1997 and filed for incorporation on 4 September 1998. One question arose by some sources is that are they just celebrating today because it’s the anniversary of the first time Google put up their own birthday doodle, this day in 2002?
If Google seriously doesn’t know its birthday, then we doubt that it probably isn’t very good at organizing information.
But anyways if this is seriously your birthday then wish you a very happy 18th birthday Google.
