A recent report based on a data collection from NetMarketShare has shown that Microsoft Edge, as their main browser website has surged high from 8.84 percent share earlier in September to 10.22 percent of market share in the lastest time.
This further indicates that Google Chrome, which has been a personal favorite by many of the users and had successfully overridden a much faulty and slower Internet Explorer, is now facing a rapid decline with the advent of Edge. In fact, the report estimates quite a big loss of Chrome’s market share as many of the users have slowly migrated to the browser Edge in recent times.
Although Chrome still is leading over all the other browsing sites in the market to date, Edge has finally been able to catch up with it. Recently, Edge has doubled its market share compared to the informatics based on the 2019 market share, standing next to Google Chrome in the present year.
This is followed by Firefox with a market share of 7.22 percent, Internet Explorer (5.57%), and Safari with a minimum of 3.40% market share this time.
Many Edge users had in fact faced targetted messages from Chrome to switch on to their sites for a better and faster experience in order to attract more users to their platforms.
But one cannot completely refute the fact that despite the provision of a faster and better experience, Chrome, as compared to the Edge, is a major reason for quick battery drainage. This has been a put off by Chrome, which restricted many users to remain committed to Edge for a longer browsing time.
