Google Docs helps us to create, work and edit any document we want to. It is a word processor included as part of the free, web-based Google Docs Editors suite offered by Google. It is becoming popular among writers and editors in time. However, a recent problem has occurred in the processor that throws the text off-screen.
Do you use Google Docs regularly? Then you might have noticed the recent text formatting issues in it. This has been the case for most of the users and they have already reported their issues through Reddit, Twitter, and other social platforms.
Apparently, the weird text formatting is throwing the text off-screen. It also prevents you from selecting the text and therefore you cannot copy it elsewhere. The cursor is unmovable in some cases too. Some of the Google Slides users also have addressed the same issue.
Why is it happening?
This whole issue was caused by a conflict with ad blockers and page script blocking extensions. It is still not clear whether the extensions or Google Docs that’s causing the problem.
However, Google Drive Product Manager Remy Burger has confirmed via Twitter that the issues with the Google Docs, Slides, and Drive are occurring because of the formatting issues owing to the ad blockers that they have enabled in their web browsers.
AdBlock also addressed the issue stating that the issue lies in the changes to AdBlock’s and EasyList’s blocklists that are used by most ad blockers. But they are working on them and soon the issue would be fixed.
How to fix it?
Now that we know that the conflict between the ad blockers and page script blocking extensions caused the issues of the text off-screen and the disability of selecting the texts, how do we fix the problem?
Well, there is a simple solution. While AdBlock is working on the fix of the issue, the users can simply Disable Adblock for now till it comes up with a patch as a solution.
