Android’s latest version Nougat, has not been completed for a year, and many devices have yet not had Nougat with them, there is a murmur that Google is planning to name the next version Android. Google first released Android Nougat in March last year and the upcoming version will be named starting with the letter ‘O’.
Google’s executive might have hinted to us about the next Android version. The company’s senior VP of Android Play and Chrome OS, Hiroshi Lockheimer, on Monday, February 20, tweeted the GIF of an Oreo cake. If the naming convention of Android versions is to be followed ‘O’ should be the initial for the next version. Therefore, Lockheimer’s tweet is directly pointing to the upcoming version.
We can only make our guesses about the upcoming Android version, although the company didn’t announce it officially yet.
According to Google’s I/O 2017 schedule, we might get some more teasers or official launches of any news about the upcoming version possible by March.
We have to wait a little for get some official news about the new Android version.
