Amidst the launch of two new app Alo and Duo, Google is now focusing on Hangout, the messaging platform by the company. The technology major has been adding new look and feel in the updated Chrome Extension that introduces a tablet-like UI.
Since messaging platforms like Messenger, WhatsApp, WeChat have been growing continuously in terms of user base Google is also giving a try to bring more users to the platform with its new design and updated features. The updated Google Hangout Extension is more compatible on the browsers and interface is more designed in the same line like Chrome App. The new user inter face now gives you full control to see and manage all your conversation easily. On the left hand pane, you can track all of your conversations, while selected thread opens up on the right hand side.
Hangouts is very useful application by Google which provides one-on-one chat and also group conversations to life with photos, emoji and video calls all for no charges. User can connect with their friends and family over Computers, Android, and Apple devices.
Over all these features, it has few drawbacks also. Out of which one is that, it does not support invisible status.
The new feature will be rolled out from August 31 completely removing the old interface on October 16.
