The search engine Google is about to unleash what might be the most awaited virtual reality experience provider gadget in the industry. The Virtual Reality space may turn upside down at the supposed introduction of an amazing high-resolution display at the next SID Display Week in May 2018. The teaser for the product was flashed by Google in the month of December last year. It is claimed to feature “10x more pixels than any commercially available VR display today.”
According to Clay Bavor, VP of VR/AR at Google, his visuals of the technological marvel at Google’s production and innovation labs proved spectacular. It is not the final step in the realm of future Google VR display, but it is definitely a large one, that too in the right direction, he said last year at the SID Display Week.
Promising a surefire smoother and immersive experience, especially for the movie buff and gamers, this beauty boasts of a VR-optimized 4.3-inch screen, with a resolution of 18 MP. To break it down, it possesses an astounding 1443 PPI pixel density. In comparison, the Virtual Reality screens available in the contemporary market account for a measly 600 PPI. A key spec of this screen is its 120Hz refresh rate which allows for a seamless experience.
