Google has been introducing new features for its Indian users. On Thursday, Google Maps introduced three new features exclusively for Indian users across the top 11 cities. The three new features are; An upgrade to the Explore tab, ‘For You’ feature, and dining ‘Offers.’
The first is the explore tab that will enhance your browsing experience and will be easy to access. India focused explore tab will help users find unexplored places discover new cities and towns around. Google Maps has been extended with seven new shortcuts to the explore tabs like a petrol pump, shopping, hotels, etc. in regards to the queries and the way people interact with Google Maps to make it more accessible than before.
The ‘For You’ tab helps users to get personalized recommendations like new restaurants, trending places that will match your score and interest. When the user uses the feature for the first time, they get to select the areas and localities that they are interested in, and then they are good to go for more personalized recommendations from Google Maps. Besides, users can now also follow trend and businesses in the ‘For You’ tab that offers a simple, assistive experience to help discover the city on a single tap.
The third is the dining ‘Offers’ feature or rather a feature to filter for fine restaurants with offers. This feature has been launched in collaboration with EazyDiner from where users can find over 4,000 restaurants, with more categories and partners coming soon.
