Google has always actively participated in providing various applications to its users for making teaching and learning easier and more efficient. Google’s Chromebook and classroom are used by more than 20 million teachers and students. And according to the company, more than 70 million people are using GSuite for education.
Chromebook is very much feasible and efficient to use because of its simplicity, security, shareability, and low cost. Now, at the biggest education technology event, the Bett Show, Google is going to announce the new generation of Chromebooks which is specially designed to adapt to all the ways of student learning.
Naveen Vishwanatha, Product Manager at Google for Education in a blog wrote that “With new apps, stylus, and touch capabilities, we expect our partners will continue to build an even wider variety of Chromebooks in the future, including detachable and tablets.”
At Bett, Google is going to announce two devices, The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 and Asus Chromebook C213.

Stylus Capability: –
Both the Chromebooks are coming with a stylus for student note-taking and ease of drawing. These low-cost pens resemble 2 pencils with an eraser so that users can easily correct their mistakes. Interestingly, this doesn’t require any charging or pairing, hence can be replaced at any time. Moreover, Google is also providing the facility of optical character recognition in apps for easily searching handwritten notes.
World-Facing Camera: –
This facility is really very necessary for the students to capture pictures from each and every direction. Therefore, Chromebooks are coming with a camera on the keyboard side.
USB-C charging: –
For saving useful time for students, Google introduced USB-C charging for Chromebooks so that they can be charged very quickly.
Latest Updates for Classroom: –
Google also rolled out some new updates to Classroom where students and teachers can try the new classroom app on their Chromebooks. Teachers can now assign work to a particular subset of students rather than to the entire class.
All the assignments and activities can be managed very effectively using the new classroom app by Google.
