Google collaborated with Netflix last year to bring to Google Home a Stranger Things game, where users could chat with Dustin on his trusty walkie-talkie, and this year it is collaborating again to usher in a game based on Netflix’s extremely popular show, ‘Lost in Space.

“Hey Google, play the Lost in Space game” is the command that triggers the game, whereafter players find themselves talking to Will and the rest of the Robinson family as they help them navigate their unfamiliar surroundings after crash landing on the way to Alpha Centauri.

While the game is not too thrilling, it nevertheless is well executed. Answering science-based multiple-choice questions, counting the shrieks of alien creatures, and unscrambling radio messages are some of the tasks that need to be performed while playing the game, along with a lot of ‘who do you want to help next?’ questions which slow proceedings down. But it does promise to be a fun game to play with kids for however short a while.
