There are a number of services for digital payments that offer peer-to-peer transactions for their customers and it’s been years since the feature came into being. Originally known as Android Pay renamed it as Google Pay service, is reportedly working on a similar technology i.e., QR code for peer-to-peer payments on Google Pay.
This news is leaked by Jane Manchun Wong a person that has leaked quite a number of unreleased Android features as of late. And now her latest discovery suggests Google Pay is working on adding QR code payment support to its application.
For those unfamiliar with the process, when you install Google Pay and want to make the most out of it by filling up all the details, you are given a unique Google Pay QR code that you can use to get paid. Needless to say that the person you are receiving the payments has to have your QR code.
The digital payment service market has seen a lot of growth over the last couple of years. The market has been growing ever since and now it has hit a massive popularity that even apps like Facebook Messenger are forced to build support for this in their platforms too.
