In a report, it has been spotted that Google Pay will bring features to allow its users to gift gold in an upcoming update. In addition to the new feature, the company is also working on a material design revamp for the app.
The company primarily introduced the option to buy Gold back in April for Indian users, and this gifting option seems to be an extension of the same section. For the inexperienced, Google Pay rolled out the ability to buy and sell gold via its platform for users in India in April. After months of adding this feature, the company is soon planning to bring the gold gifting option.
Google in partnership with MMTC-PAMP India, allows users to buy 99.99% 24 karat gold from within the Google Pay (Tez) app. Users can purchase the 100% insured gold for any value, big or small, and the same is digitally stored in a Gold Accumulation Plan (GAP) by MMTC-PAMP and then can physically be stored in secure vaults on behalf of the user.
Now, Google Pay seems to have taken this feature to the next level with the gold gifting option. However, Google is yet to announce this feature officially for us.
