Twitter whistleblower, Evan Blass on May 10, tweeted about a few devices of Google Pixel coming up under the Pixel 2 series. Two days ago, on July 21, he referred to that tweet and added that a Pixelbook 2 is as well included in the series.
Therefore, according to Evan, Google’s flag-bearer Pixel 3 will have these devices released: smartphones Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, second-gen Pixel Buds, a Pixel Watch, and the Pixelbook 2 laptop. The conversation featuring the two tweets by @evleaks has already become common content among online publishers by now.
Evan also hinted at a smaller version of the Pixelbook 2 that will arrive late this year. It is natural that a smaller-screen version of the Pixelbook 2 will provide more options for the users.
The Pixelbook 2 will have smaller bezels than the predecessor that has been recently discounted by Google. It is ensured that the device will run the latest stable version of Chrome OS. Details on software and hardware upgrades are of course yet to be disclosed, but we are keeping a tab.
For Pixel 3 and 3 XL smartphones, Google will be offering the newly improved Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, focusing on countering damages from accidental drops. The phones are also parts of Android Open Source Project, respectively codenamed as crosshatch and blue line.
Both the devices are to have a display notch and fingerprint reader at the rear panel. They are to run Android P and may be powered by Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC. Adreno 630 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 64/128GB in-built storage may complete the package. P-OLED capacitive screen supporting 16m colors is expected too.
Of course, these are rumors but are the most common ones that make them more trustworthy for now. Stay tuned for more details on all devices to-be-released under the banner of Google Pixel 3.
