HMD Global, the Finnish company which is currently the owner to use Nokia’s brand on mobile phones has launched Nokia 6 in China. The first ever Android-powered smartphone to carry the Nokia name from HMD Global has already created a buzz among Nokia fans.
This upcoming brand-new smartphone is named as Nokia 6, and it will be available with a price tag of 1,699 Yuan ($246) for Chinese users. Nokia 6 features 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of onboard storage alongside micro-SD support, a 16-megapixel main camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
This upcoming device runs on Google’s Android platform. Moreover, the company revealed that the new product will get into China through the online retailer JD.com. Nokia was one of the best cellphone makers, which used the Windows operating system for its Nokia Lumia range.
After 2014, Microsoft continuously sold cheaper basic phones with Nokia’s name. And Lumia was also in the market under Microsoft’s own company name. But last year, Microsoft abandoned both businesses.
Furthermore, when talking about its design, the handset is a monoblock form sculpted from a single piece of aluminum. Nokia 6 has a 1920 x 1080 HD screen and is 5.5 inches diagonally. The smartphone will be the product that will satisfy so many requirements of users and doesn’t really push any technological barriers according to the HMD itself.
HMD Global said that the handset will go on sale in early 2017, and will be available all across China. According to Arto Nummela, CEO at HMD, “It is good practice to go on sale very soon after lunch.”HMD is now looking forward to the fruitful reviews and feedback of users about the Nokia 6.
