The poster of HMD Global reveals an invitation to the Nokia unveiling event that is to be held on February 25, just before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. The launch event is scheduled to take place between 4 P.M and 5 P.M at the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Arts. The event is to be held for an exclusive unveiling of the next chapter’s story of Nokia phones.
Though HMD has not revealed the products that are expected to be launched that day, the poster does hint that Nokia plans to come up with its next chapter of Nokia phones that are likely to be launched at the event. We might see the launch of Nokia’s next flagship smartphone, the Nokia 9.
Earlier on Thursday, Juho Sarvikas, HMD Global Chief Product Officer, also teased about the event as he tweeted, “Sorry for Radio silence. Been super busy planning #MWC2018. Please expect it to be awesome.” This hints that the company has planned something major for MWC 2018 event.
The company is all expected with Nokia 1, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8 (2018), and flagship Nokia 9 for the global market. Alongside Nokia 7 and Nokia 3310, 4G has been rumored to launch only in China. But Nokia 9 would be the show stopper in the event which is thought to have dual selfie camera setup.
The last year’s MWC event have evidenced the launch of numerous smartphone by the tech giant including Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and redesigned Nokia 3310. It seems that the poster also suggests launching a smart home product at the event though we are not sure about it until the event takes place.
