At IFA 2019 some special edition and other interesting things have been announced of the Honor 20 Pro and Honor Band 5 especially the Pocketvision app for the visually impaired.
During launch Honor 20 Pro was available in two colors: Phantom Blue and Phantom Black but now the company is adding a third color to the fray, named “Icelandic Frost.” Honor says this color is the “World’s First Dynamic Holographic Design.”
The next highlight is its new ‘PocketVision’ AI-powered app making it much easier for the visually impaired to read. This app aims to help people read documents, menus, and other hard-to-read texts.
PocketVision app features three dedicated modes; Text-to-Speech Mode, Zoom-In Mode, and Negative Image Mode. The Text-to-Speech Mode allows users to convert pictures to text faster and more accurately and also narrates the text from books, documents, menus, and more.
Zoom-In Mode enables users to zoom into text using the volume buttons on their device using a quad-camera lens and telephoto lens. Lastly, Negative Image Mode provides a range of color filters, making it more legible for people who struggle to see certain colors.
Additionally, Honor is expanding its Honor Band 5 availability to a handful of new countries which was originally launched in India. The Honor Band 5 is now available from €29.99 ($33) in the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, and other markets. In the UK, it can be purchased through O2, Argos, and Asda.
