As we are anticipating the official launch date of Honor’s next-generation tablet – the Honor Pad X9, the Chinese brand has entered the Indian market with Honor Pad X8 for a starting price of ₹11,999.
In September last year, the Honor Pad X8 made its official first debut in its home country, China featuring a 10.1-inch display powered by Helio G80 chipset. Now, the brand has silently unveiled the tablet in India.
According to the brand, the new tablet will be available for purchase via Amazon Specials listing starting tomorrow, June 22, at 12 PM in India. The tablet will be priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration model plus a free Honor Flip Cover as a launch offer.
Honor Pad X8 Full Specs
Like the Chinese variants, India’s Honor Pad X8 tablets also feature a 10.1-inch LCD panel that provides a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 224 PPI pixel density.
Honor Pad X8’s dimensions are 40.2 159 7.55 mm, weight is 460 g, and the screen-to-body ratio is 80.6%. The display panel offers multi-touch functionality and can accept up to 10 touches at once.
Under the hood, a potent Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, powers the tablet. Whether this configuration will be made available in India is unknown. Additionally, it has an SD card port for adding more memory.
Coming to the operating system, the tablet is fueled by Magic UI 4.0, an Android 10-based operating system. It has an aluminum body with 1620 twin large-amplitude speakers with a 2.2cc large sound chamber. Honor Histen’s sound effects are also supported.
And finally, the Honor Pad X8 tablet lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack but supports WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1 for communication. Approximately three hours are needed to completely charge the tablet’s 5100mAh battery.
