The long-rumored Horizon Forbidden West multiplayer gameplay video has been leaked online. All of the Horizon titles so far, including Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, have been single-player only. So there’s a lot of anticipation for the next Guerrilla Games game.
Following a report that claimed a multiplayer Horizon game was in development, Guerrilla Games verified that it was actually in development. The only things the company officially confirmed were job listings and clearances, but they did not reveal the name of the game or make any other major announcements about it. But now, a brief leak from Horizon Forbidden West multiplayer gameplay has provided some information about it.
Horizon Forbidden West Multiplayer gameplay leak
The new Horizon multiplayer gameplay leak of around 12 minutes was posted on Reddit, but it was quickly removed, proving its authenticity.
The leaked video is from a very early development version of the game, so there isn’t much more happening in the game’s universe yet, but it still seems like a good game core. The majority of the action demonstrated consists of the player simply roaming through a camp and grass fields. In addition, it also showcases character models, some movement and fighting techniques along with a somewhat Horizon-like environment.
Since this is Alpha footage, it goes without saying that it was not intended for public access. The footage depicts a very raw and still-developing game. However, from this, you might be able to guess its general appearance.
Furthermore, the data miner shared the game’s first artwork in addition to the Horizon Forbidden West Multiplayer gameplay video leak. While the concept of the game is yet unknown, the current leak points to a cooperative system in which a group of people must work together to survive on a map packed with other opponents (or maybe bots), potentially by gathering supplies and weapons.
The game would have undoubtedly undergone the absolute best improvement from the very early development stage. Also, the artwork is still subject to change, so consider this as a leak. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement from Guerrilla Games before drawing any conclusions regarding the upcoming Horizon game.
