HP to release a VR Headset from the Reverb GW series, named Omnicept

An Omnicept Edition of HP Reverb G2 VR headset will be released at the beginning of 2021. It is said to come with sensors for face-tracking and ” “cognitive load” measuring option in it.

User expressions can be sensed with the new PC VR that includes the movements of the eye, the pace of the heart, and so on. The close to original VR experience has never been seen before.

The user experience will be enhanced as the insights and experiences can be somehow entrapped with the understanding of user response through this and that too in real-time.

Thus when the user is tense, the objects focussed on us, the interests of the user, and many more things that can be taken cognizance of and recorded. The sensor data will be protected by the firmware of HMD as no storage will happen on the headset.

The application complaint with HP Omnicept will ensure the retention of data with GDPR and thus enable high security. The base variant which is Reverb G2 PC-powered will come for $600.

It will have a 2160X2160 resolution per eye and Valve and Microsoft has done a great collaboration work in this. The G2 was however stated to be released in mid- September.
