Android Oreo 8.0 has been the buzz of the town for a while now, and the latest phone to join the list of devices that have already received the upgrade is HTC U Ultra. A screenshot in Italian has revealed that the premium liquid glass-back phone will receive the upgrade as software version 2.19.400.1, sized about 1.32 GB, and software version 2.19.709.2, sized about 1.58 GB, depending on the current version of the OS running on the device.
The update, which had been confirmed last August, has already been rolling out OTA in India, Taiwan, and Italy. The android security patch level is January, and the changelog also speaks of some ‘system enhancements’, apart from the OS upgrade. The Android Oreo version has introduced some cool features like Autofill, picture-in-picture, Notification dots, renewed Settings app to devices, and HTC 10 and HTC U11 have already received the upgrade.
The next version of Android OS that Google has been working on is currently being called Android P. Google has launched the first builds of Android P update for its Pixel devices, although Android version 9.0 has yet to become official. This, however, is not to discredit the Android Oreo update dubbed the most secure and stable version of the world’s largest OS.
