HTC seems to have not given up on the smartphone market. This Chinese vendor has just released its latest device, the HTC U19e. The company is not going through its best time because the Taiwanese brand, once a great ambassador for Android (or Windows Mobile), is in the doldrums. There are many who anticipate a short-term outcome, especially after Google took its best engineers in the mobile division.

HTC pointed years ago to the highest range of Android with the One. Now the strategy is different: it aims to recover its gap in the mid-range, a sector that is very competitive. And for that, it has presented in Taiwan the HTC U19e and HTC Desire 19+, two smartphones with a balance of content hardware, not so much in price. The phones follow the lines of the manufacturer offering a large screen surface and dual cameras on the back for the HTC U19e and iris facial recognition in the latter model.
This mid-range mobile phone, HTC U19e relies on Snapdragon 710, the 10nm chipset designed with high-efficiency architecture to accommodate artificial intelligence technology. In terms of design, the HTC U19e carries a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels and an old aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen was coated with Corning Gorilla Glass as protection.
There are two cameras that are engraved on the front and back of the HTC U19e. On the backside, each 12MP resolution (f / 1.8) and 20MP (f / 2.6, 2x optical zoom) is accompanied by an LED flash. While at the front it also features dual 24MP resolution (f / 2.0) and 2MP (f / 2.2) lens and equipped with face unlock feature with Iris Recognition technology.
The HTC U19e graphics are supported by Adreno 616. This phone has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal media, which can be expanded up to 1 TB with microSD. The battery has a capacity of 3,930 mAh which is supported by the Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging feature.
There is also a conventional fingerprint scanning feature on the back, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and NFC support. In terms of software, this phone runs on Android 9 Pie operating system on top of the HTC Sense interface. The HTC U19e went on sale in Taiwan on June 12 at a price of 14,990 Taiwan currency.
