Huami has announced that it will launch its upcoming Amazfit GTS 2 mini watch in China on December 1st. As part of the announcement, the Chinese company has launched a teaser post that not only announces the launch date but also exposes key specs of the smartwatch. The watch is expected to be the smaller version of the last smartwatch launched by Huami, the Amazfit GTS 2. The previous watch featured a 1.65-inch display with 341ppi pixel density.
As per the teaser post, the wearable will feature a smaller screen, a thinner profile as compared to the original Amazfit GTS 2 that was launched in September. The new watch also comes with a lighter design and has gotten rid of most of the buttons on the body of the smartwatch itself. The Amazfit GTS 2 comes with a single dial button on its right side.
Weibo announced the launch date of the smartwatch; and apparently, the company’s CEO Huan Wang has shared a short video that teases the smartwatch and its specs overall. It is Wang who announced that the mini variant of the Amazfit smartwatch will be thinner, lighter, more refined, and smaller than the original Amazfit smartwatch as well. Overall, the Amazfit GTS 2 is generally aimed at a younger market.
Coming to its specs, what could be discerned from the post is that the watch comes equipped with a curved screen and a single button on the right side. The smartwatch will come with a 5 ATM water-resistance, and a heart rate sensor, along with the PAI health assessment system, various sports modes, and watch faces that could be customized. The smartwatch will come in Black, Green, and Pink colors. The price and specific features are yet to be announced by the company, chances are it will be revealed on the day of the launch itself.
