Reports have revealed today that the Chinese multinational technology company, Huawei has continued to lead the world sales market despite US pressure.

Recall that a few years ago, the United States blocked Huawei Technologies from buying U.S. goods, the restrictions which imposed huge pressure on the trading market of the firm.

According to a data analyst at the Dell’Oro Group for telecommunications infrastructure, disclose that the Chinese tech giant continues to lead the world in terms of sales.

Indeed, this is a great advantage for the company as the world’s most powerful communication business continues its dominance in the technology industry.

In 2021, Huawei accounted for 28.7% of the global communication equipment market, up 7% from the previous year. Ericsson finished second with 15% of the market, followed by Nokia (14.9%), ZTE (10.5%), Cisco (5.6%), and Samsung Electronics (3.1%).

The data has proven that the tech giant has eliminated the Chinese market share, with an 18 percent global market share, implying that Huawei is still the world’s first even without the Chinese market.

Huawei Technologies began as a rural sales representative for Hong Kong-based phone and cable network enterprises in 1987 in Shenzhen, China. Huawei first moved into China’s metropolitan areas between 1996 and 1998, as the country’s urban population surged.

According to McKinsey & Company, China’s urban population will reach one billion people by 2030, with 221 cities with populations of over one million people by 2025, compared to 35 in Europe. Huge cities necessitate complicated communication networks, and Huawei has continued to expand and meet this demand at a breakneck pace.

Huawei’s products and solutions are currently in use in more than 170 countries, servicing more than a third of the world’s population. After Alcatel-Lucent and Cisco, Huawei is the third-largest global maker of routers, switches, and other telecommunications equipment by market share, and the company has lately entered the ultra-competitive smartphone race.
