Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is planning to launch its latest addition the Huawei Mate 9, in the US on January 6, 2017. The Huawei Mate 9 is one helluva smartphone. Noted tipstar Evan Blass on his Twitter account posted some images which says that the much-awaited device will be available in the new year to the US consumer.
Features of Huawei Mate 9:
The Huawei Mate 9 sports a Unibody design language with sand-blasted texture, measures 156.9 X 78.9 X 7.9 mm in dimension, weighs 190g. The smartphone has 5.9-inch full HD 2.5D curved display, powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC with Mali-G71MP8 GPU atop.
The Huawei Mate 9 comes with 64GB internal memory expandable up-to 25GB via microSD card and a 4GB RAM. It features a 20MP Monochrome and 12MP RGB sensor, while the front camera features 8MP sensor and a 4000mAh battery with Super Charge technology which power up the phone up to 58% within half an hour and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.0 atop.
Connectivity: The device supports Dual SIM, fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, Type C USB port, NFC (Near Field communication), IR sensor, and GPS/GLONASS.
In the past, Huawei lacked the brand recognition required to have any real cache in retailer and carrier stores. Heck, it wasn’t long ago that Huawei told jokes at press events about Americans not even being able to pronounce the company’s name. But things have changed since Nexus 6P, Mate 8, Huawei P9 and Nova series. Huawei is seen much more global brand now.
The Huawei Mate 9 will be initially released in China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Poland, Thailand and United Arab Emirates for €699 (around $776/Rs. 51,748). However, there is no information when the device will be available in India.
