So far, we, as gadget enthusiasts, are only visually associated with or are familiar with a tablet that has a traditional and conventional design. In this sense, a tablet is supposed to be a square object with a single middle button on the bottom bezel. Over the years, the design of tablets has hardly changed, if at all. Even the variations that have come out, have had very little design alterations. Huawei seems to have taken the next big step in tablet design with its new MatePad Pro.
The design of the MatePad Pro seems to be a radical departure from the traditional designs of a tablet.
Huawei MatePad Pro comes with a 10.8-inch AMOLED panel, a 2560×1600 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. From the very first glance, what catches everyone’s attention is the almost-bezel-less screen of just 4.9mm.
There is a small hole-cut on the top right corner of the screen but other than that, it’s all just screen. The hole-cut on the top right corner place is where the front camera of 8 MP is situated. It also houses a quad-speaker. Other specifications of the Huawei MatePad Pro tablet include Kirin 990 SoC paired with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.
The tablet will come in Wi-Fi only and LTE versions and also features a new M-Pencil with a wireless recharging mechanism.
Reportedly, Huawei has launched the new tablet during its product launch conference today.
Along with the revolutionary new Huawei MatePad Pro, Huawei also introduced a couple of other gadgets such as the Huawei MateBook D 15 and D14 and the Huawei Sound X.
