Huawei, the Chinese tech company, has expanded its business over the years to include various things outside the tech area. This has proved beneficial for the company and thus helped the company to reach a vast user base around the globe.
On the other hand, Huawei’s electronic products range from being pocket friendly to be on the higher end. This has ensured that the company stays relevant on every level. Recently, a Weibo post has revealed that Huawei will continue to expand its business ideas and that the Chinese tech giant may launch a new set of notebooks that will be manufactured especially for gaming.
Moreover, the post also reveals that Huawei might also launch a new gaming console that will be similar to Sony’s fan-favorite PlayStation and Microsoft’s Xbox. This decision appears to stand in contrast with what Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei had expressed about the future of the company. Zhengfei had mentioned that in the upcoming future Huawei will refrain from venturing into new business areas. However the decision might go down this year, it is reported that ahead of the launch of the gaming consoles, Huawei will also launch gaming PC in the market sometime this year. The gaming PCs could expand the company’s current notebook lineups and expand it further.
As the announcement does not come from a reliable official source, the validity of the claim remains open to question. Last year, Honor launched its first gaming laptop called the Honor Hunter which was also targeted specifically at the gaming area. It was also reported that Huawei was also prepared to reveal its own gaming laptop in 2020 but the company had not done so.
So far, Huawei’s notebook lineup for this year includes the MateBook X Pro, MateBook 13, and 14. powered by 11th gen Intel processor.
