There has been a lot of rumors surrounding an upcoming smartphone from Huawei. After rounds of leaks circulated on the internet, the Chinese company on 3rd November through its official Weibo account made it public that the Nova 8 SE will soon be launched. The Weibo post did not just introduce the preliminary smartphone, a warm-up poster accompanied the official announcement.
The warm-up poster gives away a number of details about the upcoming Huawei smartphone. For start, the Huawei Nova 8 SE comes packed with a matrix camera module on its upper left corner on its rear side. However, the back cover remains mostly unadorned, and the frame too appears to be devoid of extravagance and features a straight style.
The overall design and the simple frame points of this smartphone is likely to be similar to the multi-camera version of the Huawei Ascend P6 series.
The official announcement did not reveal the specs of the smartphone, but previous rumors and reports carry a substantial amount of details of the upcoming smartphone.
The Huawei Nova 8 SE features a 6.53-inch OLED waterdrop screen, and under the hood, it runs on MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor which is only for the standard version; as for the high-end version smartphone, MediaTek Dimensity 800U will run it. The main back camera is 64MP.
The smartphone comes with a 3800mAh battery but is overall thin and light weighing only at 178g. The smartphone may come with the 66W fast charge technology, the same as the Mate 40 Pro. The price range should fall between 2000-2500 yuan.
The official sources confirmed that the smartphone will be a 5G variant. As for its availability, it is unlikely that it will reach a global audience. It will go on sale online at 2 PM on November 5. More details to come.
