Huawei is working towards developing smart solutions for every day, eventually making smart home solutions. One of the leading companies in this smart home solution is undoubtedly Xiaomi, so in a way, the Chinese companies, both Huawei and Xiaomi, are each other’s fiercest rivals

It has been revealed that Huawei Technologies has recently obtained patent authorization for “glasses cases, wireless charging glasses, and wireless charging kits which can be used for wireless charging.” In other words, Huawei had filed for a patent and received the same for a pair of glasses equipped with wireless charging technology. The patent bears the publication number CN109907455B. The patent shows that this application provides a glasses case, wireless charging glasses, and a wireless charging kit that can be used for wireless charging.
The patent certification reveals that on the temples of the smart glasses, there are N coils that can be charged while they’re in the box. The patent specification also reveals that smart glasses are charged using a wired charging system. The charging interface must be set on the glasses, even for wired charging.
The space available on the glasses for setting up the charging interface is relatively small. This could be inconvenient for the setting of the charging interface. Moreover, when the user needs to charge their smart glasses, they need to make sure that they have accurately aligned the interface with the charging module which could prove to be tiresome. The wired charging interface is an open interface that exposes its conductive parts. This could never survive in an open environment or survive the onslaught of water.
Huawei still has a long way to go to make smart glasses more user friendly and hassle-free. On the other hand, the company already has smart glasses products, the latest of which is the Gentle Monster X Huawei Eyewear II.
