Huawei’s second Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone, dubbed Huawei Y5 Lite, has made its launched in Pakistan. The company’s first Android Go model Y3 was launched back in May last year. The new Huawei Y5 Lite is an entry-level Android experience, pocket-friendly smartphone.
Among the other entry-level specifications, the Huawei Y5 Lite comes with an 18:9 display panel; it provides an 8-megapixel rear camera sensor that supports a panorama mode and comes along with an LED flash. The smartphone supports 1GB of RAM and a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) and features a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS Full View Display panel along with a 295ppi pixel density and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The Huawei Y5 Lite has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage that is expandable via a microSD card. Regarding connectivity, the smartphone has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. Besides, the smartphone packs a 3,020mAh battery and measures 146.5×70.9×8.3mm.
The smartphone had an exclusive launch in Pakistan at a price tag of PKR 16,500, which roughly translates to Rs 8,240. It will come in Blue and Black colour options. Further details about the global launch are yet to be announced officially.
