Today, March 7, famous Twitter tipster Evan Blass tweeted a teaser of the Huawei Y9 showing a dual camera setup. The photo as well gave out that the phone will bear the trendy thin-bezel appearance. Yesterday, the smartphone passed through FCC and exhibited its design. We also received information on its specs and price details.
Huawei Y9 features an LCD display of an 18:9 aspect ratio. It packs an octa-core processor, although the brand is yet unknown. The RAM is either 3GB or 4GB with 64GB of internal storage. The device will run the EMUI based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The battery is non-removable, having a 3,900 mAh battery.
As for the camera, Huawei Y9 has dual-lens on both rear and front panels, which is its major highlight. The dual setup at the rear panel offers 16 MP and 2 MP dual-lens with a single LED Flash. The dual front camera bears 13 MP and 2 MP lenses dedicated for selfies. Other features include Wi-Fi, VoLTE, micro USB, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
In the design department, the aluminum makeover on the device body looks pretty cool. The rear panel contains the company name and logo at the bottom. According to some reports, the mid-range smartphone will be priced at about 21,999 INR and may be officially launched by Huawei on March 15. It is expected to start being available in Thailand.
These details are yet to be confirmed officially by Huawei. It is more likely that Y9 will be released before the brand’s anticipated P20 series. We’ll still have to wait for some official confirmation. Stay with us to know more.
