In the latest update, Instagram has come up with a new feature. This update is part of Instagram Version 22 for iOS and Version 18 on Android.
This feature enables the users to add photos and videos to their stories, even if they were taken more than 24 hours ago. As a result of this update, anything from the camera roll section can be selected and shared instantly with friends.
The rest of the procedures are pretty much unchanged, though. Media can be selected by a normal swipe up from the camera, opening the camera roll, or simply tapping the gallery icon. At the same time, scrolling through the photos or videos, the user needs to tap to select what is to be shared.
If a photo or video over 24 hours old is selected, a new sticker will automatically be seen. This sticker will help to add context to when it was taken. Just like all other stickers, this one can be rotated, resized, or removed from the story before sharing it.
