The launch of Instagram Stories was a success on the part of Facebook to such an extent that it decided to implement exactly the same function in the application of the social network, Facebook. However, Instagram is the one that leads, and this is demonstrated by the company after the last update of the app for both iOS and Android.
Featured stories to relive Instagram Stories
Instagram Stories is one of the most expressive functions of the app, but the limitation of 24 hours during which the stories were available to other users was an inconvenience for many.
If that’s your case, you’re in luck since Instagram has just released a new update – version 25 – that integrates two new tools. These are Featured Stories and Archive of Stories, two sections with which the company intends that the user has the option to permanently maintain their best Instagram Stories.
How? Simple. After the update of the app, in the section of our profile, just below the profile photo, an icon with the “New” function will appear. If we click, we can select our history, set a cover photo, and titrate it to taste. We will automatically set this history as permanent and will immediately appear next to the new icon. We can create as many Instagram Stories as we want.
New section stories archive
To facilitate the selection of Instagram stories, the application will also accommodate a new section, Story Files. This will go to stop all Instagram Stories that expire after the relevant 24 hours since its publication. In this way, the user will have the ability to collect and rescue as many stories as necessary.
Once selected, the highlighted stories will appear as the video shows in the lower section of the profile photo. They can be eliminated from this same section. They can also be edited if we keep pressing the circular icon representing each one.
