Meta-owned photo and video sharing app Instagram is reportedly testing a new feature that will make Instagram a place to build stronger communities like one we have been seeing in its friend platform Facebook “Facebook Groups.” But, Instagram plans to bring a seamless yet nuanced exploration of community with proper stratagems to be followed.
Instagram has embarked on testing the Instagram Community feature for merely three months from now; perhaps the period might differ. This information comes out from tech insider Alessandro Paluzzi who is constantly tweeting about new features of social media platforms.
Today, his tweet says that Instagram is still operating in communities, and we can expect this feature to be rolled out soon. Moreover, the Instagram Community can be private or public. It also needs a username.
As we saw a screenshot shared by the tipster, users can also set their favorite pictures in the community profile. It seems the respective member of the Instagram Community can put stories on their community profiles to spread distinctive thoughts over the platform.
As of now, there is no evidence of the date or time of the release. It is noteworthy that recently, the app announced that it’s testing a new feature that will bring templates for Instagram reels, meaning that content creators can make reels using the same format as their previous videos. It will ensure the galling time users spend on setting the option of their previous to the current video.
“The Template” features are currently in the development process. However, Instagram reels will not be the pioneer of this feature since it has a resonance with TikTok template features which offer users the to drag their media in a preset format. Astonishingly, Back in January, tipster Alessandro Paluzzi spotted the feature who has seen a version in the app code.
