Now that the last quarter of 2021 is on the verge of being over, Intel is moving forward and already planning ahead for the first quarter of 2022. Interestingly, Intel’s 12-generation Core mobile processor i7-1270p has numerous times on various running sub-platforms. On December 2, another processor from the company called the i5-1240P was exposed. The new unveiled processor is almost the same as the i7-1270p one; however, the i5-1240p comes with a slightly lower specification.
Like the i7-1270p, the i5-1240p for its CPU has 4 large cores and 8 small cores. The processor comes with 12 cores and 16 threads, a turbo frequency of 4.4GHz, and a 12MB L3 cache. In terms of GPU, the i5-1240P comes equipped with an 80EU Xe core display with a GPU frequency of up to 1.2GHz.
On the other hand, the i7-1270p processor features a core display of 1.3GHz 96EU Xe GPU. Both the i5-1240p and the i7-1270p feature the same number of cores, but the latest one from Intel offers lower CPU core frequency. The cache of the same processor is less, and its overall GPU performance is a lot weaker.
Although the detailed description of the i5-1240p is yet to be launched by Intel officially, the overall features of the same have been exposed. The company is expected to launch the 12th-generation Core mobile processors at the CES which will take place in early January 2022. Now that Intel is introducing a new processor, it can be expected that various other manufacturers will also launch a new generation of notebook products that will run on the latest Intel processors.
Notably, the Intel Core i7-1260p has made its appearance on Geekbench again, and the processor has delivered a much more promising performance than was previously reported. The processor will make its debut soon.
