Apple iOS 12.1 brings Group FaceTime and numerous amount of new emojis to iPad and iPhone. Earlier FaceTime changed the way of communication and the way of sharing emotions for a lot of people, now that group FaceTime is available it will get much more exciting and easier for people, it allows 2 to 32 people.

iOS 12.1 also brings a unique feature which is depth control in real time preview with Dual sim support to iPhone XR, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XS.

FaceTime is much more fun and flexible with iOS 12.1, it has a very easy process of adding people, you can join an active FaceTime call by using the same camera effects in messages to add some filters, stickers or send to your friends and family an Animoji or Memoji.

Newly added features to FaceTime are mentioned as follows:

1. Ringless notification: When you will call more than one person, the FaceTime will display a notification and that will let you join the call without any interruption

2. Automatic detection of active speakers: FaceTime uses on-device intelligence to display the most prominent speakers on the call, which automatically highlights the current speaker by bringing them to the forefront. This feature will automatically resize the image of the person in the conversation depending on how active they are in the conversation and also on the duration of the speech, motion, and volume. The least active member will get down to the bottom and also with a simple tab a participant can come front or center.

3. Message integration: Group FaceTime is integrated into the messaging app that makes it easy to start a group FaceTime from a group iMessage chat. If people in the group have already started a FaceTime session, messages will show the active call in the conversation list and inside your conversation.

4. Private: All FaceTime calls whether it is one to one or a group FaceTime, they remain private and only viewable by the participants.

iOS 12.1 Emoji

There are more than 70 new emojis getting introduced to iPad and iPhone with iOS 12.1, with some red hair, grey hair, curly hair characters, an emoji for bald people, some smileys, and some animals, food and, sports emojis. These new emoji will also be available on Mac and Apple Watch with a free software update.

The new advanced depth control in the Portrait mode will enable sophistication with a professional-level bokeh. Now users can adjust the depth of field in real-time preview in addition to post-capture with iOS 12.1, also enables control to create portraits with a blurred background. Portrait mode with depth control is available on the TrueDepth camera for selfies, which will include Memoji and faster face tracking support.

Users can now activate additional cellular plan carrier without using a physical nano sim with iOS 12.1 on iPhone XR, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS.
