The LCD screen-bearing iPhone, which is reported to come in this September, will be a budget phone and come in multiple colors.
Analyst Jun Zhang says that the idea of multiple color options is to attract the young users. This further makes the phone unique from other iPhones, as intended by the brand. Zhang also added that the phone would be named iPhone 8S.
The color options are likely to be blue, yellow, and pink. We can also expect white and green models like the iPhone 5c. However, Apple tried the same strategy with the iPhone 5c, coming up with color variants to attract users, and it wasn’t successful. This time around, things may go different, as there is the affordability factor, which should sit well with young users and consumers with a limited budget.
Another factor leading to the potential success of the supposed iPhone 8S is that Apple has recently shifted to the budget segment recently. That’s not all, as the company is more likely to stick to aluminum than plastic as in the 5c, to favorably implement the build quality of the future iPhone 8S. This notion can be supported by Apple recently heavily investing in revolutionizing aluminum production.
Some sources say that the tech giant will bring two more iPhones besides the one in question. The other models are said to be the successors of the iPhone X, bearing similar design and hardware. Lastly, Zhang believes that Apple may focus on a triple camera setup in 2019 instead of the dual setup.
Of course, these are still speculations, and there’s yet to be any official confirmation from the company. We are waiting for it all to be surfaced. Stay tuned with us to receive the updates before others.
