It was the launch of the much-awaited iPhone X. Apple celebrated the occasion in a unique way. Images of customers buying and trying out the smartphone for the first time from all around the world were shared by Apple.
The iPhone X is Apple’s latest and most advanced flagship device till now. The device, pronounced as iPhone 10, is powered by the fast A11 Bionic processor & features a 5.8-inch OLED display, Face ID facial recognition & wireless inductive charging.
Apple Stores open at exactly 8:00 a.m. local time. The customers are allowed to pick up their reserved devices and make walk-in purchases after that. Apple’s posted early hour pictures of customers from the Apple Stores in Dubai, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney.
As usual, the initial demands were strong. Long queues were seen forming outside Apple Stores around Europe, Asia, and Australia. Scenes when no different in Singapore, Madrid, Amsterdam, Belfast, Edinburgh, and Liverpool.
Apple did advise people to get to stores early if they wanted to purchase the smartphone on the launch day.
In Regent Street, London, several hundred people were spotted on the queue. In the U.S., queues were sighted overnight and had been growing only.
The scenario is a little different in Belgium and France. Apple has decided not to sell the iPhone X without a pre-order or pickup reservation in these two countries. It’s mainly because of the issues of the anti-terrorism restriction.
Due to the time zone advantage, New Zealand and Australian customers were the first to receive their shipped iPhone X pre-orders.
In the US, the east coast will naturally receive the first iPhone X deliveries, starting at 8:00 a.m local time.
Apple has brought iPhone X in two internal storage variations. The 64 GB and 256 GB models are priced at$999 & $1,149 respectively.
