Following in the footsteps of Xiaomi’s Redmi, Honor, and Oppo, Vivo launched its sub-brand, iQoo (Pronounced i-koo) earlier this month. And now it has shut down rumors of a foldable smartphone as its first model, iQoo showcased its upcoming device at an NBA All-Stars game in China broadcasted on Tencent Sports.
The published images of the device show triple rear camera setup, complete with three sensors and an LED flash in between. An absence of a fingerprint scanner on the back suggests an in-display scanner. The lower left corner of the device’s rear sports the iQoo logo, it is in a shade of blue.
Although further details regarding its components are yet to be disclosed by iQoo, since the brand shall be dealing with premium smartphones, it is being expected that the device will sport a Snapdragon 855 under the hood, and its highest variant may have an 8 GB RAM. Like the Vivo NEX and the yet to be launched V15 Pro, this smartphone is also expected to be equipped with a pop-up mechanism, besides an almost bezel-free display like Vivo’s latest renditions.
The smartphone’s price is being speculated to be CNY 5,000 ($738 approximately) and is expected to be launched, at least in China, in the next few weeks, in more shades other than the pre-existing blue.
Coming to the Vivo smartphone whose launch date has already been fixed on 20th February, the Vivo V15 will sport a triple rear camera setup, a 32 MP pop-up camera up front, and be powered by Snapdragon 675. It is expected to be priced at less than Rs. 25,000.
