Good News! The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched its own payment aggregator system, IRCTC iPay. With the introduction of this system, travelers are expected to get rid of many problems that may arise during the payment.
The statement issued by IRCTC stated that having its own payment gateway would make online digital payments easier.
This will help in bringing the gap closer between IRCTC and banks which will eventually lead to fewer payment failures. Moreover, in case there is an unsuccessful online transaction or some other error, IRCTC can right away get in touch with the bank instead of reckoning on an intermediate source which usually makes the process elongated – IRCTC stated
With the introduction of the new system, IRCTC will have full control over the system. That’s because the company has made a direct agreement with banks, card networks, and other partners. With the introduction of the new system, the passengers will get rid of all the problems that may arise during the payment. IRCTC will now be able to contact the banks directly if they are looking for an array.
IRCTC has said that due to the introduction of the IPP, passengers will not need any third-party platform for payment. On the IP, passengers will be able to pay by credit card, debit card, UPI and international card. The company will also get its prepaid card short wallet and auto debit facility in a short period.
