2020 and 2021, these two years are going to be big ones for ISRO and India as a whole. ISRO announced that it is planning on launching its first-ever crewed mission into space in 2021, and the Indian Space Research Organisation has also lined up as many as 36 missions for the 2020-21 timeline.
The missions will include ten earth observation satellites in the same timeline. Union Minister of State for Atomic Energy and Space, Jitendra Singh said that apart from the ten observation satellites, The space center has also lined up three communication satellites, three space science satellite, two navigation satellites, and one technology demonstration.
In a written reply to Rajya Sabha, Singh said, “ISRO has planned 36 missions including satellites and launch vehicles for the fiscal year 2020-21.”
As for the rockets, ten PSLV launches, three GSLV MkII, one GSLV Mk III have been lined up. The Minister has also lined up two small satellite launch vehicles.

For the 2019-20 timeline, 11 out of the total targeted missions have been completed.
India’s PM Narendra Modi had increased the annual budget of the space program by 3%, and this development is taking place also partly due to the increase in budget. The ISRO scientists’ relentless efforts gave India a prominent place among the other world space agencies.
Amidst all the satellites that ISRO is planning to launch in 2020-21, the most exciting news is that ISRO is already planning on sending a crewed shuttle into space in December 2021.
