A new innovative is about to resurrect from the affiliated laboratory of the “The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)” according to foreign reports, MEITI is to introduce a spectacular innovative Supercomputer to create a forum to assist the proliferation of artificial intelligence in Japan.
The affiliated laboratory will create a supercomputer with cutting-edge abilities approximately 2.5 times more powerful than the company’s existing machine. The supercomputer is expected to hit the market in 2024. The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology is one of the most touted research institutes Japan ever had in the country and is now keenly working on the establishment of a supercomputer.
METI is to offer 32 billion yen ($226 million) to help to build facilities. The yet-to-be-unveiled supercomputer will function at the center for AIST studies on Quantum technology. The supercomputer for the proliferation of AI has the biggest computing ability in Japan, which is tentatively more robust than “Fugaku” at Riken. Nearly 3000 companies and researchers can jointly use this machine. In addition, the already existing supercomputer is short and lacks the potential to answer a vast amount of data learning processes outwardly. It needs additional development to generate data.
This is why AIST is working on the new supercomputer to make the demand off to nowhere. The new supercomputer has a range of advantages for economic security. It can handle a wide number of highly sensitive data and targets to decrease its vulnerability to other countries gradually. Private-sector companies in Japan, including Sakura Internet, are planning to debut new supercomputers and the movement to improve computing power.
