Reliance Jio recently launched an app that has made a very complex task of establishing a conference call leisurely within a single tap. The 4G network has now introduced a new service via the Jio Group Talk for Android app.
The app also comes with features like lecture mode, the ability to mute participants, and more. The app is currently in trial mode, and a public version of the app is expected to roll out soon. The app supports HD voice calling and is only available to users who have Reliance Jio SIM on their phones.
Going by the name, JioGroup Talk offers conference calling facilities across your contacts through VoLTE. The app is listed as a trial version which means that it is still in its developing stage. Nevertheless, users who use a Jio SIM can use the app on their Android devices. After the app is downloaded, it will prompt users to enter their number in the app, using which the app will send an OTP to the respective number to complete the verification.
The Jio Group Talk feature also offers a ‘Lecture mode’ where only one person can talk during the call while other group members are automatically muted. The other feature on the app provides a scheduling conference call option as well. Callers can add or mute participants according to one’s needs or wants. For now, the Jio Group Talk app is available to download on Android and is not listed on the iOS platforms.
Reliance Jio disrupted the telecom industry two years back and has come a long way since. The company offered ultra-cheap tariffs, coupled with free and fast daily data, calls and messages with a few free apps. Besides all, it was recently reported that Reliance Jio has a total subscriber base of 280 million. Now, this new app seems to be a must-have application for all Jio users.
