Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies John Srouji has stated in an interview with Geekerwan that after studying Apple’s diverse configurations of computing, memory bandwidth, and memory capacity, and making the appropriate trade-offs, they have found that most Apple Intelligence requires 8GB of memory.

This is the most logical solution, and it is indeed extremely necessary for Apple’s new series. Srouji has also discussed the various benefits of the feature of 8GB of memory for several existing applications. These include games, high-end games, 3A games, and the performance of high-end games on a particular device.

However it sounds like the memory of the iPhone 16 series has been increased, but in reality, it is only the memory of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, while the 16 Pro series still uses 8GB of memory. Another interesting feature that has been raised is the vapor chambers in thermal design.

However, Apple did ask for an explanation as to why an aluminum plate is implemented inside the iPhone, and the specifics behind the thermal design creation in the iPhone 16 series. Johny Srouji in response had clarified that there was not necessarily one best product but if it is a thicker product, they might be able to provide a better thermal design structure and also use a different kind of material. Therefore it is indeed needless to say that it was an interesting interview that deliberated the specifics of the iPhone 16 series.

This discussion of features indeed brings about an insightful conclusion for the potential consumers of iPhone 16 who are eagerly waiting for its release on 20th September.
