There are a lot of speculations and rumors about what the upcoming iPhone 7 will look like and what the new features will pack with the smartphone. Amidst these speculations, a new leak suggests that the iPhone 7 may support the headphone jack and dual-sim sim support. Rock Fix, a smartphone repair shop in China, has recently posted some photos on the Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo of alleged iPhone 7 components.
The rumored photos show that Apple might keep the headphone jack; earlier, it was reported the smartphone giant would abandon the port so that users will get audio output via Bluetooth or Lightning. A close inspection of the images shows some screen panels in the usual two sizes and a probable SanDisk memory slot that might support up to a whopping 256GB.
An industry insider claimed that he heard from a Foxconn source saying, “Apple has canned the dual-lens because the technology wasn’t ready “, and another insider said, “the tooling was already made and that it’d be too late to change it”. Since other smartphone players like Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are planning to bring dual-lens cameras Apple also might go for the same.
There are a lot of leaked images circulating on social media, but we’re uncertain which images are true. Despite several leaks from the last couple of months, we’re even uncertain regarding the iPhone 7 features and have to wait until new concrete reports are coming.
