For years, Apple has driven its technology towards the apex level by expanding its industry to stand out among its competitors. When it comes to technology, Apple has always been in the front fall in the world since its inception.

The American tech giant is known for its popular iPhone products. Aside from that, its Apple Watch, iPad, TV, Air Tag, and macOS are exceptional in the technology world.

It is a known fact that before any new technologies will be available for purchase, such technology must be first approved by the Federal Communications Commission, FCC.

Over the years, Apple has registered multiple devices with the FCC that are intended for internal purposes or not, such as tools used by technicians to repair iPhones and Macs among other products.

Maintaining this standard, a new Apple device has just been exposed in FCC documents, product codenamed “A2657”, this device includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC antennas, and a USB -C port.

The document shows that the tech giant sent a sample unit of this device to the agency on January 22, 2022. Although there are no images of the adapter, the documents describe details of its internal hardware.

As per the leaked document, the Network Adapter from Apple contains two Gigabit Ethernet connections, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an NFC antenna, as well as a USB-C port. In addition, it also has 32GB of internal storage and 1.5GB of RAM. The second version of the identical device comes with only 1GB of RAM and a Lightning port instead of USB-C.

Similarly, the adapter is said to be running software “19F47,” which is an early internal version of iOS 15.5. With this in mind, we believe the adaptor, like Apple’s Studio Display, is powered by an Apple Silicon chip.

Apart from the fact that the new accessory has been tested by the FCC with a MacBook Pro and an iMac, there are few specifics about it because Apple has requested a non-disclosure agreement that will last until November 2022.

Unfortunately, the image of the new Apple’s mysterious ‘Network Adapter’ that runs iOS has not been released yet nor has Apple confirmed the unveiling date. Therefore, stay connected with TechGenyz as we keep updated on the upcoming Apple devices.
