Ces 2017: Lenovo Releases Thinkpad X1 Series Update and Introduces New Gaming PC

As CES 2017 kicks off today global technology giants taking the stage to showcase their latest products at the event. The latest is Lenovo – the Chinese technology titan introduced a series of devices at the ongoing event in Las Vegas which includes a Multimedia Controller, Legion Laptops, Smart Assistant, and Smart Storage. The list goes on with Miix 720 with Lenovo Active Pen 2 and Phab 2 pro apps.

The company also announced the upgraded version of its ThinkPad X1 laptops which includes the 2017 ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 Yoga, and ThinkPad X1 Tablet.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon:-

Among all ThinkPad X1 series products, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1Carbon is the smallest and lightest one. It weighs 1.14 Kg and features a 14-inch IPS display with an improved Microsoft Precision Touchpad and TrackPoint. This device will be available in Black and the brand new Silver color variant.

ThinkPad Carbon features some new features as it has an improved battery, processor, and new connectivity ports. The company claimed that its battery will long last up to 15.5 hours. ThinkPad Carbon offers Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE wireless WAN with up to three times faster LTE speeds.

From the security point of view, ThinkPad Carbon has an IR camera with face recognition support for enhanced biometric authentication and also has a fingerprint sensor.

ThinkPad Yoga:-

ThinkPad Yoga is now also available in the Silver color variant. All the security features are the same as that of ThinkPad X1 Carbon. It has a 14-inch OLED display and packs Intel iris Graphics Processor.

ThinkPad X1 Tablet:-

ThinkPad X1 Tablet is also updated which combines a 2-in-1 design. It offers port expansion and up to 5 hours of excess battery life.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 Yoga will start hitting the market in February 2017. The device will cost approximately $1,349 and it will be $1,499 for ThinkPad X1 Yoga. ThinkPad X1 Tablets will be available from March 2017, at a starting price of $949.

Furthermore, Lenovo has also announced two new gaming PC’s under its Legion series. Lenovo Legion Y720 and Y520 laptops are designed for mainstream players. These devices have NVIDIA graphic cards and Intel’s 7th Gen Core I7 processors.

NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1060 graphics make the laptop VR-ready. For experiencing an immersive experience while gaming, users can plug a VR headset into the HDMI port.

Legion Y720’s Dolby Atmos feature allows it to produce sounds in three-dimensional space. More interestingly, the keyboard is coming with an RGB feature and there is a red backlit is implemented into the keyboard which makes it easy to play games at night.

Lenovo Legion Y720 supports up to four controllers simultaneously for gaming with friends. The Y720 will be there in the market from April 2017 and will start at a price of $1,399.99 while Y520 will start at $899.99 from February 2017.
