LG Electronics announced on 11th March 2020 the rollout of its TV lineup which would include GX Gallery series, real 8K ZX models and 4K Ultra HD TVs. The OLED TVs will first be launched in South Korea and the United States, followed by Europe and other regions.

The GX Gallery series models will be offered in three varieties, 55, 65 and 77-inches, and the TVs will sport a minimalist design. The 65-inch model is only 20mm thin and it does not have any separate control box.

The LG OLED ZX Real 8K models (models 88 OLED ZX and 77 OLED ZX) deliver four times the screen resolution of 4K and 16 times that of Full HD. LG’s upcoming TVs will be among the first 8K models qualified to use the CTA 8K Ultra HD logo.

Models CX and BX in 77, 65, and 55-inches will also be released in the market. More than this, LG’s premium LCD TV lineup, the NanoCell TV series will include Nano99 in 75 and 65-inches, Nano97, Nano95, and the 55-inch Nano95. All of the TVs in this lineup will carry the CTA 8K UHD logo.

Everyone needs to look out for the new Alpha 9 Gen 3 AI Processor featured in most of LG 2020 OLED and 8K NanoCell TVs. The processor will further boost the picture and sound quality, and several new features will provide the audience with an immersive experience.

LG’s 2020 TVs support the latest HDMI specifications including eARC and ALLM for higher-quality audio and smooth, lag-free performance. The 8K models support a wide range of codecs including HEVC, VP9, and AV1, the codec preferred by YouTube and other major streaming platforms. Furthermore, the 8K TVs support 8K content streaming at 60FPS.

LG’s OLED TV sets come equipped with support for the new Dolby Vision IQ and the UHD Alliance’s Filmmaker Mode. Additionally, the TVs also support streaming services such as Apple TV, Disney+ and Netflix.

LG is introducing a total of 12 new OLED models officially compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC. LG’s self-emissive OLED technology employs the precision of individual pixel control to produce exceptional picture quality, low input lag and ultra-fast response time, for an immersive gaming experience without flicker or stuttering common to most displays. LG’s 2020 OLED and NanoCell TVs support HDMI VRR.

The new feature called the Sports Alert will keep the sports fans up to date with their favorite sports teams with real-time scores, schedules and more. Moreover, the 360-degree soundscape with two Bluetooth speakers connected to the TV will create the feeling as if the user is sitting inside a stadium.
