LG Electronics introduced autonomous vehicle stimulators at the International Robotics Association or the IROS held in Macau from 4th August 2019 to 8th August 2019. IROS is a renowned robotics conference in which over 4000 robot engineers participate from all over the world. Needless, to say it first sees the innovation of new and up-and-coming robotic technologies and is one of the most pioneering technological events. This year IROS was so-hosted by the American Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Japan Society of Robotics (RSJ).

LG introduced the artificial intelligence navigation technology of the robot cleaner and the navigation technology of the airport guide robot in a poster session held for the purpose of technology exchange. The executive director of LG Electronics’ Robot Business Center, Noh Jin-seo introduced the vision and strategy of the robot business at the LG Robot Seminar in Macau on July 7, 2019.
Noh Jin-seo, the executive director of LG Electronics’s Robot Business Center, Senior Research Fellow Seung-min Baek, and an overseas engineer and graduate student was among the 50 other companies who took part in the event and showed their development in their respective robotics field. Similarly, LG Electronics takes pride in its achievement in the robotics so far and is dedicated to developing this particular branch further.
The robotics department could be termed as LG Electronics’ pillar of foundation and indeed, LG plans to develop a variety of robots, ranging from commercial use to home use, for expanding and opening up its horizon on the business front. The company is also strengthening cooperation with external companies such as robot companies, startups, universities, and research institutes.
