Now, you can get free Google Home on your LG Assistant-compatible appliance with every new buy. This will enhance convenience in having organized control over your daily house works.
In May this year, LG announced its integration of Google Home. Well, during that time, only a few models were compatible with the new addition. Presently, LG is on course to expand the list of compatible Signature appliances to 87. The list comprises WiFi-connected fridges, ovens, washing machines, dishwashers, vacuums, dryers, AC, air purifiers, and so on.
Free Google Home requirements and benefits
Firstly, the integration needs your device to be set up through the LG SmartThinQ app. Then, you can link the setup to free Google Home. It is as simple as that!
You need to search through Assistant’s integration to find it out. FYI, it is the blue icon on the top right while launching Assistant on your phone.
After you are done with the lineup, you will come across the benefits such as:
- Preheat the smart oven before you reach home.
- Check remaining times on dryer or washer.
- Tell the fridge to make more ice.
- Change AC settings.
- Check air quality, …and lots more!
It will take two more weeks for LG to start rolling out its connected appliances. LG’s offer is between October 8 and 25: “one free Google Home per household, with the purchase of a qualifying model.”
LG further says that it supports multiple users for tailoring actions to you. Although, it is not clear yet how it would work. There are already questions and rumors on how to go about it. We will provide updates as soon as we receive more information. Leave your feedback in what you think of this integration!
