LG has officially launched the LG G6+ and LG G6 32 GB today. Both of these models were supposed to be launched on June 27 in the home market, as announced by South Korean Media at the start of the month. The latter variant of the LG G6, the LG G6 32 GB, was to be dubbed as LG G6 Pro.
The original LG G6 was officially announced at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in February 2017, but its two variants were not introduced by then for unknown reasons. In fact, it is observed that different variants of LG G6 are being sold in various markets. While some markets are receiving LG G6 with wireless charging features, the smartphone in other markets does not have the same endeavor.
The regular LG G6 does not have a wireless charging feature in the South Korean market. On the other hand, the U.S. market contains the phone with this feature. Also, South Korean users are able to enjoy the Quad DAC feature, whereas the US variants of LG G6 do not include the same.
The LG G6+, which is exclusively available in South Korea, it packs a wireless charging feature alongside a high storage capacity of 128 GB. Therefore, LG G6+ is considered to be the best version of the phone. The original LG G6 version is available with 64 GB of internal storage.
Various other features are available with the LG G6+ and LG G6 32 GB, which are not available with the original LG G6. The users get to choose from the colors like Optical Marine Blue, Optical Terra Gold, and Optical Astro Black for the LG G6+. The LG G6 32 GB color choices are Mystic White, non-optical Marine Blue, and non-optical Terra Gold. The Mystic White color is available for the original LG G6 as well.
LG is yet to confirm when the LG G6+ and LG G6 32 GB will be available in South Korea’s markets, though the company announced their releases for the country. Furthermore, it is also not confirmed whether the other markets, such as the U.S., will have these two variants of LG G6. The original LG G6 was priced at 899,000 KRW (~$402) in the market in South Korea. According to previous reports, the LG G6+ will be priced at 999,800 KRW (~$892), and the LG G6 32 GB will be priced at 799,800 KRW (~$710).
